The split was structured so that the old Hewlett-Packard changed its name to HP Inc. and spun off Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a newly created company.

Candidates who clear the written test will then be required to appear and participate well in the interview. In order to do so, the candidates need to be prepared in advance.

Aspirants need to have a good knowledge about their project as most of the questions will be based on it.

The aspirants must be confident when answering the questions in front of the judging panel.

Subsequent to the two technical interviews, the candidates will have to appear for the final HR interview.

The candidates should prepare for self introduction as well as talk on strengths and weaknesses. One thing the candidates must always keep in mind is not to be over confident.

INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE (Jayant Prakash)

***********************************************************************

Round 1: 1st Round was a multiple choice round with no negative marking, where questions were from both technical and aptitude questions.

I found aptitude question to more tougher and time consuming so i devoted more time to technical question which included data structures, C programming output and other simple questions.

I scored less in aptitude so I was asked why i scored less by the HR manager in my final interview.

Note: Attempt all questions, if you are stucked in any question, don't waste time and move to the next one immediately and later come back to the unfinished question.

Round 2: 2nd Round was a technical 1-1 interview round, where the technical interviewer viewed all my projects listed in my resume. He asked me to explain one of the micro controller project which i did in my 5th Semester.

I explained the project nicely, also made sure that I focus more on problem that i faced during my project and how i solved the problem.

After this, he twisted some of the facts of my project and asked me solve a problem where multiple controller are involved, basically I recognized that interviewer was checking my OS concepts like scheduling, so i framed my answer in such a way that explained the concept he was diverting my project to. Rest all questions were simple and related to the things that was listed in my resume.

Round 3: 3rd Round was a Managerial Round and it was i think the decisive round for the recruitment. There were two managers , who were taking that interview.

They looked at my resume and asked me to explain some papers that  I published recently.

I asked if  I could use the whiteboard to explain them, They were impressed when I presented some of the concepts on the whiteboard.

Then they asked about one of the project did on SDN(Software Defined Networking) in the department.

After that they asked if i had plans for going for higher studies, I said “No”, they asked me a reason for not going. I lied them of family financial problem.

They look convinced. Then asked me what are my weakness.

Round 4: 4th Round was the final round and it was an HR round.

This was also my stress interview. It started well when HR manager asked me why i wanna join HP. I told that HP offers good growth and work-life balance.

Then HR manager asked why HP should recruit you. I told that i am very good at backend programming, or I wanna do innovation at HP.

All my answer were turned down by the manager. After I tried 4 or 5 times, he said that I was getting desperate for the job, which i acknowledged.

He also quoted my aptitude marks from the 1st round and then asked why, to which I told the honest reason.

He then explained me how the company worked. I was patiently listening but also i was getting nervous.

At last he pointed out the area i needed to improve. At last he asked me if I had any questions. I lost my cool and i asked if i was selected.

After this he asked me what i think. I said that I think i am selected to which he replied Yes, I believe you.
